It's not Thanksgiving yet, but we wanted to post something special to all of the people that have hosted or attended the various baby showers that have been so generously given to us in the past few months. Our first baby shower was thrown by good friends in Austin, Texas. The second was given by close family in Houston, Texas. And finally, our wonderful friends in Hanover hosted one as well.
Leslie, Julia, Karen, and Heather: Thank you so much for hosting our very first baby shower! Everything was absolutely perfect and beautiful - and I loved the gorgeous diaper cake! It was so nice to see such good friends there, especially given our limited time in Texas. I really appreciate all of the time and effort you invested in putting together such a lovely event. I miss all of you so much!
Aunt(s) Ivy, Amy, Helen, Cheryl, and Cindy (and honorary hosts, Mom Chow and Mom Hsu...): It was wonderful seeing all of the family and friends from church! You can never go wrong with such tasty Chinese food and dessert! I appreciate all of the love and effort you put into creating such a special memory for me and for our baby girl, and thank you for letting Big Brother Ruben and Little Sister Ariel attend as well. I can't wait for her to meet all of you! (Sorry I don't have a pic with all the hostesses yet!!)
Jill, Tracy, and Mariana: I was blown away by your generosity and effort. From the delicious food to the onesies and portrait session gift, to the fun games and how you got Alan involved, I was truly touched. I am so thankful to have such wonderful friends in Hanover and we can't wait for our baby girl (wearing her new little jean jacket - thanks, Auntie Jill!) to meet all of you!!
Alan and I are truly touched to have all of you as dear friends. Thank you again - our baby girl is certainly privileged with the opportunity to know each of you very soon!
My brother called me last night at 12:40AM - Heather was in labor! Our little nephew, Jacob, wasn't due for another 3 weeks or so, but I guess he just wanted out! So now we are anxiously waiting for him to make his grand entrance. As of 5AM, she was starting to push.
Stay tuned for what I'm sure will be an adorable photo of our new nephew!
